The Wonders of Thy Word

The Wonders of Thy Word

When the ways of this world no longer satisfy the longing hearts of men,
It is Thy Word, O Lord that supplies;
As thoughts have entered and produced cultures,
It is Thy Word, O Lord that guides.

The Wonders of Thy Word shall stand the test of time,
The myriad ways to find life’s meaning are stored within its bind;
From Adam in the garden to Eve his glorious mate,
From the end of every age to the final entrance through Your gate.

It is Thy Word, O Lord that sets one free,
Thy Word, O Lord that makes one see;
That man is living in a time foretold,
A season given to Satan’s stronghold.

But Thy Word, O Lord tells of You,
It provides man with the blessed Truth;
That You came down from Heaven to Nazareth,
To give man life apart from death.

You suffered and died for all to see,
The gospel manifested by the satisfaction of wrath upon that bloody tree;
And now the Holy Spirit that hovered over the waters of creation,
Has indwelt our souls through Your regeneration.

Thy Word, O Lord is our supply,
Thy Word, O Lord is our life;
Giving the knowledge of the God-head three,
Father-God, Jesus-God, and Holy Spirit-God, blessed Trinity.

May we long for its abiding Truth,
Early in the morning until its final proof;
Of a life reflecting what’s bound inside,
A life revealing the Wonders of Thy Word.

“I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.” Psalm 119:14-16
