Declare His Strength…

“O God, You have taught me from my youth, and I still declare Your wondrous deeds. And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.”
Psalm 71:17-18

I have observed this man, Tommy Nelson, for years. Many folks have. He’s not perfect. He’ll tell you that. But one thing he does, “…forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13b-14

Life is not fair. Obstacles stand in everyone’s way. People can be mean–even though they have good intentions. Things happen that are outside of our control.

But we all still have a choice…

Do we press on toward the goal?

-or-

Do we shrink back in fear and comfort and ease and predictability?

“I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me…”
Ezekiel 22:30a
