When we began the GAP Program ministry in 2019, we had no idea what to expect. Over the course of two years we have seen God raise up 13 students (6 year one and 7 year two) from 5 different states to immerse themselves in 9-months of leadership, Bible, and worldview discipleship. To accomplish this, God raised up more than a handful of weekly mentors, multiple life skills teachers, and countless others who invested their time, treasure, and talents pouring into and believing the best in these students. Throughout the course of their nine months, they learned to weld, to keep a budget, to speak publicly, to resolve conflict, to flex in unforeseen challenges, to listen well to others, to study their Bibles, and to discern truth in a world gone mad, to name only a little of their training.
Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for every volunteer who contributed to this discipleship ministry in the upcoming generation of leaders.
My prayer for these promising leaders is simple…
“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
May God raise up more men and now women who will invest 9-months in the GAP Program whose aim is to prepare them for life.
