Proverbs 9:10
Wisdom begins in the fear of the Lord. That fear is not dreading an unpredictable tyrant, but reverencing God for His good and sovereign character. True knowledge of God is understanding, which is inherently relational. God has made Himself known through His Son, so that to know God is to know Jesus Christ, the One whom He sent (John 17:3). Trusting in Jesus Christ is therefore the path to walking in the fear of God, knowing God, and walking in the wisdom that follows.
